Many tourists come to Komodo to see the flora and fauna on land and under water. Hikes to observe the Komodo dragons are only allowed in the company of local guides from the PKA. Particularly good observation places lie at the occasionally dried out river Liang and in the Poreng valley. There are routes of different lengths on given routes.
